Documents we supply
This page is the practical answer to the question buyers ask first: what will actually arrive in my inbox, and what do I still have to produce myself?
The short version: we supply evidence and data per model. We do not sign certificates for markets we are not established in. Everything below is organised by document and buyer type, because a US Amazon seller and an EU importer need different things from the same model.
How to read the matrix
- Supply means we can provide the document or the data, subject to the model having been tested.
- Data only means we supply the inputs; the buyer or its representative signs the certificate.
- Not provided means the obligation sits with an entity we are not — an EU or UK established operator, for example.
- On request means the item exists for some models but not as a standard pack; ask per SKU.
A report is always model-specific. If a model has no report, the honest status is "testing can be commissioned", not "documentation pending".

The documents we never sign
- US Children's Product Certificate. Signed by the US importer or US domestic manufacturer.
- EU Declaration of Conformity. Signed by the manufacturer, or the importer placing the toy on the market under its own name.
- EU or UK responsible person appointment. Requires an entity established in the EU or Great Britain.
- A certificate for a model we have not tested. No amount of documentation can substitute for a test on the actual product.
We state this on the page because it protects both sides. A supplier that offers to "handle the CPC" or "be your EU responsible person" is offering something it cannot legally deliver, and the buyer discovers it at the worst possible moment.
What a document pack contains
For a typical wooden baby toy order, the pack we assemble per model is:
- Test report or reports, with laboratory name, standard edition, test date and sample description.
- Bill of materials, including wood species, finish, inks, adhesives and any silicone components.
- Material declarations from component suppliers where available.
- Factory identity, production location and production date fields.
- Tracking label artwork and label data sheet.
- Packaging artwork with warning text and age grade.
- Batch numbering scheme and the sample-to-batch mapping.
The pack is deliberately structured so that a buyer's compliance team can drop it into a CPC, a DoC or a digital product passport data set without re-typing it.
How delivery works
- Model check. Send the SKU list and destination market. We confirm which models have reports and which do not.
- Scope confirmation. If a report exists, we check that its sample description, colourway and materials match your order.
- Gap list. If something is missing — a coating not tested, a colourway not sampled, a part not covered — we list it before quotation, not after.
- Issue. Documents are released with the quotation or with the sample, depending on the item.
- Update on change. If a material, finish or supplier changes, the documentation status changes with it, and we tell you.
Timing
Document work has a lead time, and it is usually the item that delays a first order rather than production. Two rules of thumb:
- If a report exists on the model, documentation can be assembled in parallel with production.
- If testing has to be commissioned, it becomes a critical-path item, and the model should not be locked until the test scope is agreed.
Label artwork is the exception that catches people out. It has to be approved before printing, and printing usually happens before production finishes. A label decided at the end of a production run is a reprint or a delay.
FAQ
Q: Can you send a sample test report before we order?
Yes, per model and with commercial details redacted where necessary. What we will not do is present a report for one model as if it covered another.
Q: Do you provide the CPC for Amazon sellers?
No. We provide the report and the manufacturing data. The CPC is signed by the US importer, which for a US Amazon seller is usually the seller's own US entity.
Q: What if a model has no report?
We say so. The options are to choose a model that has one, or to commission testing. We can scope and coordinate the test, but the report has to be real before we describe the model as tested.
Q: Do you supply documents for markets beyond the US, EU and UK?
For Canada and Australia we supply reports and compliance data where they exist, and can coordinate testing. Those markets have their own requirements and languages; confirm the scope with us per model.

This is a commercial explainer, not legal advice. Certification is model-specific and market-specific.

We confirm whether a report exists, or whether testing can be commissioned.
