OEM / ODM
OEM & ODM wooden baby toys
OEM when you have the design, ODM when you need one developed. Both routes end in the same place: a production sample that matches the drawing, and a test plan that matches the markets you sell into.
What we need from you
- A drawing, a reference sample or a written brief with dimensions and target age.
- Destination markets and sales channel, because they decide the test and label set.
- Target quantity and packaging direction.
How we quote
- Material and finish, part count, paint/print, packaging and tooling are quoted as separate lines.
- Tooling is quoted once and shown on the invoice as a separate item.
- Lead time is quoted from artwork approval, not from first contact.
What can go wrong
- A shape that cannot be made safely for the target age (small parts, sharp edges, weak joints).
- Artwork that cannot carry the required warning text legibly.
- A model change after testing that invalidates the report.
FAQ
Can you develop a new shape?
Yes - ODM projects start from a brief or sketch and run through a sample and a report plan.
Who owns the tooling?
It depends on the agreement; tooling ownership and exclusivity are stated in the quotation.
